having your partner pass away

so we just found out about an hour ago that a friend of the family passed away

his name is allan

his wife's name is kerri

they only had each other...and now unfortunately kerri is all alone. you could just tell how perfect they were for each other, how much they loved each other...

he died of a massive heart attack..
kerri woke up for work and didnt wake allan...and came home and said hello, and found him still laying in the bed

sorry for brining everyone down

im just still in shock

i cant imagine losing someone like that and ending up alone

yes she has friends, but its not the same

I've been down that road myself. It's an extremly tough emotional and mental problem to over come. It still crosses my mind every day and I think it will til lthe day I die. I just manage to look back and appreciate the time I did have with them. It's not easy to accept that in the begining but it does get easier I promise you.

That sucks so bad. I don't know what it feels like, but that's always been a fear of mine. That's why I have to have a bunch of kids...less chance to be left alone or leaving loved ones alone.

We all just have to make sure we appreciate the time we have with the people we love.

We should ALWAYS be thankful for the wonderful people in our lives...shouldn't take a tragedy to realize this although that's often the case

^^^ exactly

unforunately sometimes you dont take the time to be thankful

my mom was telling me earlier, that since they never had children that he really took a liking to me and my brother, he would always talk about how wonderful we were, and how much he really liked us

:(

makes me even sadder

*sigh*

in the past 1 and a half years, i've lost my only grandmother, my favorite aunt, an uncle, my dog (anyone with pets: they're like family members eh?), my cat HOMER :D...etc.etc. when i think about it in that list, its kind of bazarre to realize. but i guess u just let things like this kindof melt over u, and u just keep doing your daily stuff with it nagging at u for a while. i got robbed 2 weeks ago too. fuck this has been a shitty summer...

Damn...that's really shitty. You seem to be doing alright. I think that's the best way to deal with grief...just keep busy. Then it doesn't have a chance to engulf you. Not to say you just don't grieve, it just makes the process smoother.
