highschool friends
i went back last night to white rock and went to my friend Stacey's birthday party. it was the first time we've had everyone together again since we graduated like a year ago.
it's funny how many people you realize you dislike after you graduate. how many people you were only friends with because they were friends with your friend or something like that. i didn't like most of the people there. anyone else had this same experience? |

i also hate when you see people that you graduated with walking along the street or something and they feel they need to stop and talk to you about stuff.
So how's life? what are you doing now? are you leaving in vancouver? i don't care! if we didn't talk to eachother in highschool, why does that mean we have to talk now? go away. |

some of my favorite conversations are with those from highschool i dont really like anymore they go like this
"oh hey how are you" (ME) "good and you?" "great im in art school, you selling some stuff, doing what i love. still working with kids, having a great time and you?" "im still working at the mall, you know saving up." "oh yah for what?" "well before i go to school i have to make car payments." "oh yah? i had a car for a bit, but he died (rip jimmy) so what else have you been doing? have you traveld or anything? persued (enter persons intrest here)?" "no, just you know, been hangin out, going to clubs," "oh... ok... well im gonna go then nice catchin up bye" "bye" i love it mostly because the majority of people i see have done absolutely nothing. alot of them have stopped going to school, are working low paying jobs, still living at home and doing things like going to clubs every night or making car payments. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee |

Cliques were a highschool thing.....its pretty childish if you ask me.
I went home at christmas , and i couldnt even count the number of people from highschool that came up and asked me how/what i was doing. They all seemed genuinely interested, and the feelign was mutual. I like the fact that some people can put that shit behind them and act like mature human beings. Reminiscing with people about things that happened in highschool (including your enemys) is a good time......I bought my arch enemy a beer last time i went home and got his perspective on some situations. I've never laughed so hard in my life. Highschool people rock. |

man whiterock eats your soul (especially if you lived in the elgin ocean park area its like living in edward scissor hands) dont get me wrong theres some cool people left around that have it together but the majority of my highschool friends are just depressing. they seem to do the same thing everytime i see them. sit at home drink their ass off smoke some weed and maybe if theyy've got some energy crawl down to the OB (dont get me started on the OB haha) and I hear the same quotes everytime i see them
"what am i up to? oh u know workin taking some time off school savin up" "whats in southeast asia and europe why the hell would u go there?" "how come your never in whiterock?" |
