If its a migrane with symptoms of blurred vision, sensitivity to light and sound etc - then there's not much you can do but sleep it off. My doctor reccommended to take a gravel and pain killers and hope it's gone when you wake up. If it's a head ache, advil should help - if not try to find the cause - could be because you are hungry or dehydrated, or stress? I feel for you, head aches are the worst and I get them all the time :(

Trying to sleep a headache away can actually cause the headache to become even worse when you eventually wake up. If you sleep on your back, that may help prevent it from getting any worse. Sleeping on your stomach causes neck strain which can lead to new headaches and making existing ones worse.
You may have a tension headache. For some reason I can never get rid of these with Aspirin. I know you may not feel like it, but doing some type of physical activity will help to ease the headache. |

I have been getting migranes and headaches since I was a kid.. I recommend sucking on mint gum... or drinking mint tea..or if you grow mint leaves in a garden put those in a warm cloth and stick it on your head.. A cold cloth also helps. You have to lay down.. being on the computer or watching a movie doesnt help ;p

I hate it whenever I get a headache, cause I know if I start having trouble focusing on something, it's the start of one. Then you get that damn blind spot! Then the fun starts! |

I can usually tell when I am gonna get a migrane..and thats when I can usually prevent it from getting real bad or even coming at all. Thank god for tylenol 3's and 4's! The worst part of a migrane is that it leaves you completely useless.. your pukey, dizzy, tired.. the works!
