waxing
apparently after 3 more times it wont hurt as much.... I DONT BELIEVE IT.
i have two tattoos, i have seperated my shoulder, and have had numerous other aches and pains and nothing has hurt so much.... is it worth it? i dont know yet. i cant walk properly... and i bruised a little. my waxing lady said i have sensitive skin - this i knew - but i also have big roots=more pain apparently. i dont know if i could do it again. i swore when i didnt mean to. its not super intense now, but its a little tender... do any ladies know how to help this tenderness stop? i put straight vitamen e oil on it, and that seems to be makin it better... would ice help it? the things we do for beauty..... |

you'll get used to the pain, no worries
I was the same way when I first started waxing - I would go home and sit on a warm cloth that's how much it hurt! But now it's much better...I can actually go out and do stuff right after and I don't feel like passing out =) Try aloe vera gel...it's soothing and will cool the burn! |

I'll take a bit of pain once every few weeks to save me lots of work having to shave/tweeze various bits...I don't think anyone really likes it, but it certainly has its conveniences |

Personally, i get brazilians. Fortunatly i'm not one of those ppl who have the bikkini line that goes half way down their legs!! THANK GOD! but its always going to hurt. I get my eye brows done for 6 years now, its always going to be a little painful!! I get brazillians. they hurtt oohhh how they hurt. i've been to 4 of them and a few bikkini waxings, NOTHING hurts more than someone ripping the hairs of of your gential area!!
If you are bruising, make sure you have some ice or a cold drink between your legs. it will also reduce the swelling, after a few days and once your oil gland bumbs are gone. ITS WORTH IT!! :) happy waxing! EDIT : tip= along w. aloe, TRY TEE TREE OIL :) body shop 12$ body gel! |

yah my eye brows never hurt to wax, ever, thats why i dont get why this was so painful.... the bruise is ugly, im not happy about it at all.
yah i donno if i can go back and bet another brazillian voluntarily... the bikini area i could handle, but normally thats a sensitve place. i dont really like the smell of aloe too much, but the vitamen e seemed to do wonders. today no pain, still visible irratation, but i expect that. my poor poor little hair folicules... |

thumbs down
Getting your haired pulled out is way too over-rated. I ain't gonna pay someone to do that, when it ain't that much better (than shaving). I also, don't want to take half a day and go through the pain of "beautifying" my crotch.
I heard that years of waxing your eyebrows will make your eyebrows sag, I wonder if it's the same with waxing down there. |

You must be one of those people that doesn't have very sensitive skin down there...if I shave it's painful and the ingrowns are many...waxing I don't have any problems with. I can take some pain once every four weeks...besides, it's good preparation for child birth! (hahaha!) |

today it finally doesnt hurt, minus the bruises those are still kinda tender.
im big on exfoliating, its part of my everyday getting ready routine. so i got no problems there, and today, i kinda think that maybe it will be worht it, unfortunately i cant afford to continue while im at school, supplies are more important, so next summer... i'll be ready for the pain. i understand that what makes the pain get less is the damage you do to your hair folicules, do they regenerate? as in, after a year of not waxing, will they be back to there same strength by next year? can anyone answer this? |
