I feel your pain. I've been dealing with eczema since I was a kid. I get all these littel blisters on my hands before I get the major outbreak of dry, bleeding, itchy skin. :(
I've tried everything too.... hydro-cortizone doesn't even work for me anymore. I've found that a regular scrub of cold cream helps keep my eczema to a bearable minimum. |

^My doctor gave me a sample of this cream that rocks! However, it's like $71 for a little bit of it. I don't have that money right now, so I'm just going to have to deal w/ the pain.
It's never been this bad before. It's always just been on my hands but this year it's all over. |

wow u only get it during winter? lucky you!
i get it all year around 24/7 and it comes in big clumps that makes me look like i have a skin disease. GREAT. and along with eczema im allergic to the metals.. (damn button on jeans and DAMN watches). yea... theres no cure for it. just crap loads of cream to try, but eventually my skin gets immune to it. NO SCRATCHING! |

I only seem to ever get eczema during the summertime which in a way is much worse because during the winter, at least you'll usually be covered up so no one will see it. there was a time when my eczema got so bad on my arm that someone actually thought I was shooting up! however my eczema is very tame now. I've figured out my triggers and learned how to avoid them.. --Joanne :P |

SAME! If any metal hits my skin it's all over. Right now it's so bad that anything that touches my skin hurts. And yes, it is called Elidel. |

Ugh...
I get it on the back of my head when my scalp gets irritated by a shampoo. I only use really good salon shampoos, but sometimes I go through periods when I can only use baby shampoo. REALLY annyoing! And SO itchy! When I was younger it was way worse and I had eczema and psoriasis (sp?) both on the back of my neck. I had this really alcoholy smelling liquid medicine I used to squirt onto my head, but I don't use it anymore. Prolly should when I get an outbreak, but I don't like how it made my hair feel weird and how it burns after you scratch. Heh. I think I just don't want to admit its made a comback.

working in the pool and cold weather = dry spots all over. i dont think its eczema cause it is not itchy nor does it crack and bleed, its just ugly.
two years ago i had pityriosis rosea and it sucked. i had dry skin spots all over my torso, and this one big ring of dryness on the bottom of my neck where my back begins, i think it forms due to nerves. for me, jergens works, and vaseline un-scented intensive care helps keep things calm, but i go in for cream about once every two months. |
