You guys are going soft. This is not cold at all, and I'm in CHILLIwack where it's colder than Vancouver. Go live in Calgary or Northern Ontario for a while and you will get toughened up and know it's not really cold here.

People's bodys just become accustomed to the local temperatures. Go to Hawaii in the winter when it is 80 F and you'll see the Hawaiian people shivering and wearing sweaters cuz they think it's cold.

This is true, of course. But, also:

I worked with a guy from Calgary the other day.. he talked about how he wasn't cold at all, even though I was feeling pretty chilly.. he was wearing a light sweater, and I was wearing like 4 or 5 layers. But it was a dry day. He talked about being unable to deal with being cold and wet..

Like, I don't particularly enjoy being cold and wet, but being a Vancouverite.. that is one thing we have on the areas of Canada that get a dry, non stick snow.
