stuck in a loop..
i think im going to die with an 8 dollars an hour job..
seriously... WHY.... and seriously... when does it get better? seriously... jobs..u really suck right now. ugh..and getting 2 hours shifts..and 8 dollars an hour.... waste of my gas to even drive there. |

i guess its frustrating.. my last 3 jobs i downgraded from one job to another..one was 9 dollars, then i went down to 8.50 now im 8 dollars an hour. why do i do this to myself... this job "feels" like a step up, but then again making 16 dollars a day doesn't mean crap to me.

And when you are looking for jobs, be specific; and aim high. There are many places that pay good, and need no special experiences: Libraries, Banks, Insurance Companies, Restaurants (the good ones), etc.. you just won't get it until you try. getting some of these jobs are soo much easier than you think. good luck :) |

im gonna test this "start with the lowest position and work your way up" thing at my work and see what happens. maybe after i turn 19 ill make better money. and maybe if i actually save up my money better ill feel more secure with my wage. definately not quitting.. gonna prove myself. i dont know why..but something i feel like doing this month.
gooooo min wage team. |

Bev - so you know - if they are scheduling you for 2 hour shifts, and you don't agree with it, but they still want you to work, they have to pay you for 4 hours. Check into the labour relations laws. I used to work for Venator, they aren't always the greatest company.

it goes either way, the more you make, teh more taxes you pay.
like seriously, do you reallly want to be paying 600 a month on taxes? Quote:

Taxes are all relative! If you're paying 600 a month in taxes, you're bringing home AT LEAST 3000 per month!!! If you get paid on the 15th and 30th, that's 1500 per cheque. I'd rather that than pay $5 a month in taxes but only bring home $45 twice per month! JEEBUS! |

www.jobbank.gc.ca they have a section just for hiring students check it out!! get the fuck outta the loop...you're probably not making anything at all after gas money.. it'll all work out soon...last year i was making 8.50 somewhere after being there 2 years.. i've now almost tripled that...so dont worry...you'll find something |

The "loop" will work itself out in due time. The money will come with that as well.
Although it is minimum wage, just make sure you are working hard and leaving a good impression on your employer. You are laying the ground work down for the bigger/better paying jobs to come. You can't get those with out good references. |
