fighting the urge to shop

so this xmas i haven't been in my usual "giving mode" and havne't bought many presents. only got presents for those who are super close to me and they were mostly GC's bought outside the mall.

my sis calls me outta no where to tell me to pick up the car from the parking lot in the mall because she was scared they were gonna ticket her for parking for more than 3 hours. there the car was.. in a sweet spot at the mall. i stare at it..then stare at the mall.... damn i wanted to walk in there. but HAD TO FIGHT AND RESIST THE TEMPTATIONS. damn had the biggest want to purchase a new hoodie or a cute new touque. xmas is such a bitch for money.. no more shopping allowed!

i have a shopping disease AND I WILL CURE IT. cold turkey!!!

hahaha I've been trying to fight the urge as well lately. But lucky for me I have the it's my b-day comming up excuse. So I justify it by buying things for an outfit for new years. :p

Bev: I've given up fighting. Yesterday I was @ RC finishing up my xmas shopping. 2 gifts was all I had left. Knew where they were and everything. I got the gifts, but I still walked outta the mall with an AE hoodie, earrings and a li'l Iverson jersey all for *ME*. DAMN! The shopping disease is ruthless on the piggy bank! I *heart* AMEX.

around xmas, i usually have a 3:1 ratio of buying gifts, for every 3 gifts for other people, 1 for me.

i havent bought ONE THING for anyone else but myself. It's horrible!! me and my friend took a day trip to van to go gift shopping, and i bought so much shit, and nothing for anyone but me. It was horrible. Now i am in montreal, and i know that i WONT buy anyone anything here, cuz this trip is all about me shopping time...so this christmas was a greedy one. and for once, i dont feel bad about not giving anything, because i know i'm not getting anything...plus i dont REALLY celebrate christmas....im jewish...but...i used to do the whole both holiday thing...this year i've just kinda let go of everything tho haha ohwell..

i have to say with all the xmas presents ive bought i haven't bought anything for myself so far.... i did some shopping for work clothes, but that was mandatory needed cuz i dont have any professional blk clothes. (dynamite really rules for dress/work clothes). sigh... hopefully ill be more comfortable with money next month to get some real winter clothes for myself.
