been about half an hour.
its curbed the pain a bit, i can stand up straight now, but i thought it was going to be a miracle pill and make everything feel better. its totally a half-assed pill. my back is still aching like a mo-fo. i guess it is better then before, i should relish in that. |

^ i was thinking after the midol wears off to take a couple of muscle relaxants - should calm the uterous and the back down a bit, maybe?
most anti-inflamatories don't work for me anymore, i was taking 2-3 every 4 hours for about 2 years due ot injuries, and now i have a stupid tolerance for them. i tend to usually takeover the counter no-name robaxacil (sp) to ease my pain, but today i thought i would pick up the midol and see what all the fuss is about. |

it never ever worked for me.
i remember reading somewhere that its just like taking an advil it was like the same ingredients or something.. put a warm compress on your crampage area, take some advil or aspirin, and drink some tea and if they're really bad and continue to be and you're not already on birth control...get on birth control... |

aspirin wont do shit
this coming from someone that used to have to take weeks at a time off school because I'd be in so much pain from my monthly "visit" Things I recomend: -advil -extra strength midol (yes it does work, sometimes it's just feels like it takes FOREVER to kick in) -extra strength pamprin -cranberry pills (you can find them in any herbal remedy store) -cranberry juice -hot water bottle to the tummy -LOTS of water -I keep a stash of T3's that I sometimes take if the pain gets really bad Last edited by .muffy.; Dec 28, 04 at 08:57 PM. |

^ yah thats what i figured.
i take cranberry pills on a regular basis to prevent stupid bladder infections. hot water bottle is definately my hero, mostly for my back. i've found the best thing so far for me has been caffine. and rasberries. i used to get stupid cramps in highschool, the crippling kind. then i went on the pill and it mostly curbed them. but over the past 6-10 months, they've been coming back... my uterous officailly hates me. |
