Cigarette smoking
Yes I am directly attacking the smoking of cigarettes. You cigarette smokers out there, why do you do it? How can you go through like, 20 cancer sticks a day?
When I used to smoke heavily, it was pot. A lot of pot for me was like 3 joints in a day and that's with friends around in the session, but usually it was once every other day when I was doing it alot. I took some time off from it and now I may have a session or 2 in a month, but any more I feel is over doing it. I still feel it has a purpose though, like if I choose to do some psychodelic trip, I may want some pot to ground me and ease the tension. However I've tried smoking cigarettes, and it has done absolutely nothing for my concious. Infact, it just made me abhor the way it had me smell, and it didn't taste nearly as good as even shotty pot did. So I ask you, why? It makes you fucking stink, isn't that enough to keep it at bay?

ive smoked cigarettes....i believe people do it more for the look...i mean at first the shit tastes discusting, yet you do it cause ur friends do. but then it gets to the point wher u cant stop cuz of the nicotine. stick to weed...thats my theory

i am a full time smoker, i have been for almost 9 years now! - yes that long
and yeah back when i was younger, it was about the image, but living in a house that everyone smoked in, and having a family that 70% of them smoked didnt help anything either, but now i smoke because im addicted, i hate the taste, and the smell, .....believe me, and ive tried to quit, but then somthing stressful happens, and the first thing i grab for is a smoke, not cuz i think about it, its subconsious. i mean i know it doesnt do anything, but i guess its the "habit"

ahaha this is a pretty ironic thread, markpaul. remember last year when i ran into you handing out flyers by the VAG, for the upcoming protest? i don't know whether this was maybe your period of trying cigarettes or what, but you didn't seem hesitant about bumming a few off me! (not that i mind or anything; i just had to laugh when i saw this thread.)
also, this kinda reminds me of Mateo's thread from a while back. but it boils down to the fact that it's a life of choice and (although i admit that i used to smoke more than i do now) the one or two smokes i have a day now i really end up enjoying. So, yes, i make a concious choice to smoke and do so because i really like it. and i don't like how i can hardly go through a day without having someone dictate as to the reasons why i should quit. i have my opinions on things that i believe that people do that are harmful to themselves but there's hardly ever a situation in which i try to impose my views and morals on people. Intake: "why not say why do fat ppl keep eating cause eventually it'll kill them same situtaion but no one says anything about that." no, its really not the same situation. some people get themselves to the point of obesity but fat people can't just stop eating because, as you know, food is essential for survival and smoking isn't.
