Taxes, deductions and money off your payslips.

I was bored and decided to take a look at one of my pay slips and I noticed all of these taxes and deductions and it added up to 36% of my pay!

WTF?!?? That's A LOT of money every two weeks! :378:

Anyone know of a place that has low income tax? I thought it was Oregon State, but I was told I'm wrong.

cuba?

i was gettin' 36% ripped off at my last job... but most of it came back in my return, so it's not that big of a deal to me... it's nice to get a lump sum once a year so i can buy something shiney... but what really pissed me off was when i worked weekends at that job, i got bumped into the next tax bracket, and they started takin' about 30-40%... so it wasn't really worth working doubletime... ehhhhh...

which reminds me... just got my income tax package in the mail...

Alberta not only has the lowest marginal income tax brackets in Canada, they have the lowest payroll taxes and NO SALES TAX!

So if you wanna make money, basically you go to Alberta.

There is however, nothing to do there.

2000 I paid over $16,000 in taxes... all off payroll. (and CPP, EI, blabla is on TOP of that)

At the end of the year I OWED $300.

What the hell is that. Last year I only worked 6 months and paid $8500...

it's just sick.. sick I tellya.... sick...

but.. I think I have it bad..

I know some people who pay $350,000 per year in taxes. I could only imagine how the hell they feel.. Like.. You could finance your own small hospital for your family and close friends on that kind of budget, along with bodyguards and security to boot.

ahh i've said enough..

taxes are too high.. its sick

I bet they feel rich.

If someone can pay $350k in taxes, I don't think they are hurting too much for the money.

If someone is paying $350k in taxes, you have to get a better accountant!
