stupid mechanics
FUCK im so fucking pissed off
ok so i was going to this one place, and they were FABULOUS, the owner was really great, she always fixed my car as fast as she could, and tried to give me a deal. then they switched owners and i got stuck with a stupid bro/sis team who ended up breaking things off of my car and trying to charge me for them, left my car covered in mud, and then even had my car for 5 days, and couldn't figure out anything wrong with it, and wanted me to leave in there for longer so now i thought i would try this other place ... since my poor gretta is once again ...dead. she hasnt been starting, especially when its cold...so i had to tow her up to the place and as soon as they got it up there she started... so they said they would try today...well dont ya think they would have tried it in the morning after i told them she doesnt like mornings?!?!? no...its almost 11 and they havent even looked at her yet...and they're charging me 130 bucks for it. i just wanna know how much shes gonna cost me this time, cause if its too much my poor baby is going to car heaven. |

hey, i'd love to take a look at your beauty! most of the mechanics that i know here try to figure out what is wrong and fix it as fast as they can. the majority of mechanics work on a "fixed pay". there is a book that says the certain job should take X amount of time and they get paid that much and that much only. so if takes them less time then what the book says, they gain a little extra money, if they go over what the book says then the pay is still the same, overtime does not count for the "fixed pay" method. most of the dealerships deal that way (if you are going to a dealership), if it is another shop then i believe it depends on the owner for how the pay is worked out. if the mechanics you are taking your car to are working on a fixed pay then you can be pretty sure that they are trying to fix it as fast as they can because they are wasting their time (and yours) and not getting paid for the over time that they are working.
well, i hope that you get your car problems sorted out soon, after you get your car back check around for other places with a good rep. because a good rep. is VERY important when you are a mechanic. Good rep. means many jobs. |
