deffinatly Ive had a little taste of reality and really I am glad I get to stay in the security of my parents home for a while longer. I dont get charged rent I dont pay for food I pay for anything extra I may want but im fine with that. I am asked to do some very minimal chores around the house cut the grass, pick up the dogs shit, and just general house help by far it is a great deal for me. I have very few rules to live by as long as my parents know where I will be im good. I am allowed to smoke pot, cigarettes, and drink. I am very grateful to my parents and love them dearly I just wish I had seen this at a younger age.

HAHA only joking. Its awsome. I eat cake for dinner, chicken for breakfast, sleep till 6pm, walk around naked, sleep on the living room floor, talk on the phone for hours at a time, cook naked, buy stupid things, etc etc etc.

Yeah lifes hard, but when you budget your money and pay your bills on time, its all good.

my mom told me I was out when I turned 18

Let me tell you a story about my friend's parents:

He is 17 (like you). He has the biggest PSYCHO's for parents. At first when he told me stories, i'd laugh at him and tell him that they are right and he's stupid. But i witnessed a few cases that left me speechless. His parents are ALWAYS fighting, and are ALWAYS bitching. I was at his house one day, and his mom started YELLING at him to clean his room up (eventhough i was there as a guest). So he does.. and i help him. we vacume and all that shit. His mom comes back in less than an hour, and starts yelling at him for having 2 pairs of socks in the corner. He goes and picks them up, and appologizes very politely for the sake of the guest. I can't imagine how embarassed he was. Then his mom comes and SLAPS him right there in front of me, and tells him not to play smart ass. That whole night.. she kept coming back once every 20 minutes and bitching about something. His dad always yelling in the background.
And he tells me thats what he goes through every night.

He still shows obvious respect for his parents. He never used the phrase 'Fuck them' or anything.

Now compare them to your parents. The best way is to think for a bit. its easy to see where they are coming from.

Its not really even being a friend it is just giving empathy that will enforce her beliefs on this subject which are severly out of whack. In my point of view a true friend will give some condolence but also give said person a smack upside the head and tell em whats what. I know Im glad some one eventually did that to me turned my life way way way around.
