Running into Ex's

So I ran into my old ex from when I was 16 (or so) on the seabus today.
Why is it that whenever you run into an ex, they feel the need to tell you how much better they're doing than you.

"oh you're living at home?..well I just bought my second house with my fiancee...did I mention she's a model? "

I ran into my First Girlfriend on the Bus when I was going to Work. That was weird as I hadn't seen her in about 3 1/2 years. She tried to do the "I'm doing better than you" thing but she failed. :)

.... I just moved to Vancouver in August, and i fuckin constantly run into ex's...
either they are just visiting or they have also moved, even in this city I see them all the time.. I also constantly bump into the stupid bitches my last ex cheeted on me with... its fuckin AWSOME! :388:

I was totally honest with the way my life has been going. I dont think I have too much to be embarrassed about (other than the living at home thing *gags*)
I've got an awesome life right now, I dont feel the need to have to lie about a thing just to try and "one up" him somehow. I'm not into games like that.

SNAP girl.. i ran into my ex man, like 2 weeks ago...

i went to this bakery to get some chai, and he comes walking out from the street right to the side, so were all perpendicular paths... and then stops right next to me.. we made eye contact, but he didn't say a fucking word... oh man it was SO weird.. u could jus FEEL the awkwardness in the air. obviously he's still pissed. man, that was like a year ago.
