well I'm not saying he was the best employee and that there was no grounds. Although I never learned the reason. But it still sucks when they arn't around anymore.

After 2 some odd years of working with guys in their 40s/50s, I ended up paired with a guy from Alberta who's actually younger than me, 22 or so.. which is impressive since he's a crew chief, so he's running the job and shit...

Anyways, we had the best time working together... as a survey crew, it's usually just you and the other guy for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, so having someone I could shoot the shit with and drop Simpsons quotes with was a fucking blast.

Now I got switched back to working with the guy in his 50s again.

yeah, sucks when stuff like this happenes. there was this one girl who i was working with for a while and we became really good friends. well anyway, my manager(who is my bosses gf) felts threatened by her, and thus was harsh to her, she would bitch and yell at her for the stupidest things, and hardly ever gave her shifts, and would talk about her behind her back(in front of costomers) anyway, she quit and i dont blame her, my manager is two faced. but anyway, it does suck to see a friend loose a job :(
