taking works outta your vocab.

for eve I've been trying to take the word 'like' outta my vocabulary, unless it is being used in a proper manner. I was sucessful but not for long. I need to trash that word again.

I also gotta work on taking the words 'uh' and 'um'[and any stupid sounding for that matter] outta there. trying.. but being very unsuccessful, damn it!!!

wondering.. anyone else working on not saying certain words?!

Its not so much just the word, but how I say it: ACTUALLY. I use a very condescending tone when I say this word, and the inflection in my voice is almost enough to make you flinch. It usually arouses a very defensive reaction. Not good. :n: My Mum does the same thing. We drive the rest of my family nuts...

Ha! I do that sometimes too. No certain word but I'll just use an unintended tone. And my mom will jump all over me. Was that a tone I heard? and then she gets all pissed off or defensive. And then I have to try and take it back but it's too late. And it just never gets dropped. Ahhhhhhh!!!

I notice I say (But yah) a lot when I type. I could probably stand to cut that out from time to time.

But sometimes I just go nuts when I hear a person use the word "like" a bunch of times. I just start counting after a while and it drives me nuts. Once in a while is ok. But if it is used in excess then it can make a person seem a little ditzy.
