hey, pedestrains! skytrain commuters!
Hey pedestrians and skytrain commuters alike, here's a fun fact for you!
Did you know that general rules that drivers follow to be considerate to other commuters such as: -Not blocking intersections -Not constantly breaking when there is no reason to when there are other people behind you -Not slowing down to below the consistent speed of other commuters around you without any reason whatsover ..AND MUCH, MUCH MORE ...ALSO APPLY TO PEOPLE WHO WALK ON CITY SIDEWALKS AND IN SKYTRAIN STATIONS?! Well, NOW YOU KNOW! I hope now you feel empowered with this knowledge and ready to go try it out next time you fuckfaces decide to commute on mass transit during rush hour. In addition, I'd also like to point out that the STAND RIGHT/WALK LEFT signs are not there just for show! And walk left doesn't necessarily mean to walk 3/4 of the way up the escalator and stand there pondering the meaning of life for the last part. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to not gouging out your eyeballs with rusty spoons due to not taking into consideration these simple, fun rules! |

ugh just reading that made me pissed off,
i can NOT stand when people can't follow the flow of traffic, breaking at the last second, or breaking for no reason!!! This is especially annoying for standard drivers in gridlok traffic. |

if anyone rode the skytrains today, (im not sure if it was just the millenium line) they would have experienced major problems from 4:15-5:20 or so. as i was heading to lougheed town center, my train got stopped at holdom. everyone had to get out and wait for like 30 mins, not to mention that it was a very hot day today, AND the fact that i was at holdom, too bad it wasnt brentwood, i would have had somewhere to go.

breaking according to dictionary.com: - To cause to separate into pieces suddenly or violently; smash. - To divide into pieces, as by bending or cutting: break crackers for a baby. - To separate into components or parts: broke the work into discrete tasks. - To snap off or detach: broke a twig from the tree. - To fracture a bone of: I broke my leg. - To fracture (a bone): I broke my femur. - To crack without separating into pieces. When they said "breaking", they meant "braking". I can see where you got so confused. Next time, it might help you to try sounding out the words quietly, and to yourself. Yeah, uhuh, shut up already. |

Just give them the fist!! Sort of like the finger, but a clenched fist. Because that way they know you mean trouble!!!
Im lucky, I live in Langley.. and the traffic isnt too extreme. I never have to take public transport, but taking in consideration the amount of times I have had 'road rage' for the stupidest reasons.. I would be a key candidate for 'pushy' and 'rude' commuters. I cant stand when people get in my way when I am in a rush. GRR. |

as an avid skytrain and mass transit commuter i can relate to everything you pointed out there. another thing that annoys me is the lack of courtesy when people are leaving the skytrain. you stand to the SIDE of the doors to let the people who are on first and THEN you get on. if you all try to barrel in while they're trying to get off, no one is going to go anywhere. i had a lady ask me very loudly and angrily one time, "are you going to get on, or what?" i could have snapped, but i was having a good day so i just said politely through my clenched teeth as loudly as her, "i'm waiting for all the people to get off" fuckers. |

on a more lighthearted note:
vancouverites should be very happy with the consideration that the people taking transit afford everyone. i mean, most people DO wait at the side of the doors and most people DO pay attention to the walk/stand lines on escalators. i go to boston every summer (half my family is there) and man, if you want to see rude people on transit...trying riding the T (subway). it's terrrrible. people push and shove and swear and sometimes you get separated from who you're with because everyone is trying to rush at once. everything is dirty and smelly and underground and loud. skytrain is heaven compared to the boston T system. |

it's been going on there for pretty much as long as i can remember (and i've been going there for 20 years now). i know it hasn't been going on that long, but it seems like it! they even have a wing in the boston museum of science dedicated to it. last summer they had made a lot of progress. meaning they had covered up some of the giant holes that they dug in the ground, but there is still a lot left to do i think. i'll have to wait until the end of july before i can see how much progress they have made this year. |

Don't try sounding that out. Anyways, that's why I said, "Yeah, uhuh, shut up already." It's the last line in your quote. |
