^^ this is probbaly true and all.. but i know for a FACT.. that there are places like in cali.. and id imagine the same in NY... that the water tastes absolutly discusting... trust me.... we tried drinking the tap water ... it was awful though... we spent an awful lot of money on bottled water for the rest of our trip.....
we're lucky to live in bc.. we have some pretty fresh clean water... but if your picky abut it.... just go buy a friggen brita filter and put it in a reusable water bottle...... |

i'm sorry, but there is not enough 'salt' in the dasani water to make you thirsty after drinking 1.5 litres of it. that's just paranoa.
i'll still with my brita filtered tap water. i buy water bottles, only to so i can have a bottle to fill up with tap water later. |

salt can help replenish thirst or make a person dehydrated, but it all has to do with it's tonicity or the concentration.
i.e. a hypotonic solution of 0.45% normal saline or gatorade can help stop dehydration, whereas eating tons of salty potato chips, we know will make you pretty dehydrated. sorry, but whatever it is that's in aquafina, it's highly unlikely that it would make you dehydrated! --Joanne :P Last edited by Joanne; May 27, 05 at 03:30 AM. |

aquafina and evian are the worst for bottled water, having the most most amount of fluoride. there should be no fluoride in water since it is lethal for you, and both have way too much salt. dasani though has no fluoride but is just filtered water, and there was a lawsuit in europe over dasani just bottling tap water. montclair and aberfoyle springs and kirkland have lowest salt and no fluoride at all. I think i know too much about water lol
