i have a funny anecdote about being rejected by a jehovah's witness.
it's mainly funny because i was rejected.
it's only funny to other people.

J.W.'s not included though, i dont go over well with them, not as of so far anyway... and im gerneraly polite...

i once talked with the morman missonarys for a couple weeks chekced that out... i guess it was good, i know im not a morman.

i met a couple in hong kong. talked to them for a bit, cause they are going to have a hard time finding people who speak english.

but the best thing to do when they come to your door is say, "Wow, my mom is really interested in you guys!" then close and lock teh door, and walk away.

my friend did this, the jw's waited 30 mins, till they left.

call me crazy but, I treat other people's faiths w/ respect. That's nice they are trying to save my soul rather than the numerous other asses that come to my door and call my house and are trying to get my money. I let them know i am down with the lord in other ways and bid them good day

Thats just it, JW's aren't out there just to save your Souls.
They have a human ranking system applied to the afterlife that depends directly on the amount of good works they do.
Thus saving your soul gives them a greater chance of being a member of the ruling class in the afterlife. Hmm seems almost selfish to me.

^^^^ and thats what makes it total bullshit... seriously, people should be doing good things out of compassion... doing something good entirely for the sake of getting a reward negates the whole moral test...

because everything we do doesn't always have what others would deem as 'the best intention' You have no idea what motivates each JW to come to your door
Christianity is big on the idea of good here translate into the laferlife -- think heaven, hell and the great in between purgatory
