excessive offerings
People that keep pestering you with questions on what you want. Example.

Person: do you want a drink?
Me: no I'm good.
Person: you want a coke?
Me: no
Person: want a beer?
Me: no....
Person: want some lemonade?
Me: NO.

etc etc...

how many times do you have to reply with "no" before they get that you don't really want anything. Sure, thanks for the offer, but once is sufficient enough.

Just take the drink or say "No honestly, I don't want anything." and you can even add "Stop asking." for the direct approach.

when ppl ask me too many questions i start the four year old game and repeat what they are saying

do u want a drink?(them)
do you wanna drink????(me)

do you want a beer(them)
do you wanna beer?(me)

pisses them off or confusses them they stop real quickly..hehehehe
but im a bitch and very sarcastic..plus i learned it from homer off the simpsons:)

I was using beer just as an example, of course I'd take free beer.

crookedking: I'm refering to the excessive repeatition of offering me things when I don't really want them. Sure it's nice to be offered once and a while but when the offerings become a nag, it gets tedious pretty fast.

That is annoying. The one that gets to me is people trying to make you eat. It seems parents, and even worse boyfriend's parents, think that your anorexic if you dont want to eat. In the end I just end up taking the food because they keep pestering or get "worried". Bloody hell..not everybody is hungry all of the time, is that such a difficult concept?
