Math 12

whats the score here...i just did some math test on "Permutations and Combinations" and damned if i got 1 answer right. I swear to god i'll get below like 20% or something. I studied too!! The whole hour me and my friend were just looking at eachother shaking our heads at the sheer ridiculousness of the test. How many different combinations of 5-card draws can u have that have at least 3 diamond cards and at most 4 spades? :047:?!
Now i'm like fucked for second term marks which R really important :( None of the grade 12's in the class are like getting anything past a C+ in the course, the only one's getting A's are these grade 11 geniuses who skipped into Math 12. Unngh i hate this course it gonna mess up my university applicationz :043:

I took math 12 cuz I thought it was a prerequisite for nursing
when I found out it wasn't, I tried to drop it for a spare block, but the vice wouldn't let me and advised me to stay in the course and do the best I could.

heh.. needless to say, I didn't really give much of a crap about the course. I went to my friend's grad formal the day before the fricking midterm that I just so happened to bomb very badly
lol..

but I still stayed and when june came, I contemplated on whether or not I should take the provincial exam. I'm a stubborn motherfucker and I refused to get a tutor.. so what did I do?! I studied my ass and passed the fucking provincial right by the hair on my chinny chin chin.. :147:

I know it sounds lame, but it was a huge accomplishment for me and I was glad I stayed...

getting a tutor might help a lot though.. I know a lot of people who did and they all passed.

i was getting fuckin 86% in math 12 b4 geometry came up.. fucked me over!! i got 24% or something on that test and my year mark dropped to like a flat 70%

i was fuckin PISSED OFF!

and the provincial was fuckin hard too

i don't even know why i'm taking it but i'm not allowed to drop out either...permutations and combinations..i liked that in gr.8..but i just started that chapter..hope the gr.12 chapter will be alrite..altho after reading the post i'm worried...

you only need math 12 is you plan on going to bcit..
which is what kept me in math 12 with the thought of 'what if one day I decide to go there?'

I figured I'd rather just have it done and over with than have to retake again sometime in life..

what schools/faculties are you applying too? you don't really even need math 12 to get into university unless you want to get into engineering(NERD HAHAHAH :))

man im in ubc and i never took math 12, which is proably why im in ubc..all easy courses for me heh :)

but math 12 is a requirement for most skools in Canada now.. even for arts faculties

in fact, theres a whole list of schools i wont even bother applying to becuase i'm not taking calculus and they require that to even consider your application :021:

Well i might as well do it now that i don't have to pay for it and i might need it down the way. I was really considering dropping it but after getting 80% on my test i think i just might stay .

hmm..i like the combination permutation chapter..but everything else is screwed..i have like 15% which is impossible since i did NOT skip that much and i did my hwk and i did all the tests..so its fucking BS..the teacher doesn't like me tho..she told me so..cuz she says she knows types like me..so yeah..wutever..the vp won't let me drop it...and my counselor told me to jsut stop goin and fail since i'm gonna fail anyways..cuz why should i stress sumthing i can't change..too late kinda thing ya know?..i mite just do that..

ohhh courntey jesus macaroni, what lucky university r u gonna apply to? but still at least ur pretty, we can get by on our good looks and charming personalities... u dont need math just as u dont need photo and whatever other classes u failed... plus if u do decide to come back after we all grad the gr. 12's (who r currently gr 10's) will look up to u and u can get with all of them just as geof did.
