I agree with Chixor on this, sure it's inevitable that kids are gonna have sex and sure it is the latest trend, but why? does it have to be? Kids are easily influenced by the media and follow what they see in the advertising, so why does all the advertising and the latest teeny bopper idol have to be all sexually sggestive? Why can't the media take a bit more of a wholesome angle on that whole issue instead of "dress to get their attention and flaunt ALL that you got just cuz you can"
But it's also alot on the parents part too, have a bit more involvment in yer kids lives and pay attemtion to what they watch and what they are spending there money on, sure kids may change when they get to school (I remember a few girl friends who would do that) but if the kids get to leave the house looking like that then wtf? Sure I'm a bit hipocritical cuz I enjoying watching some hotty on tv as much as the other guy, but kids that are 12 or 13 getting exposed to that don't know the difference between fantasy and reality and don't realize the dangers taht can come from all that's involved with dressing/acting that way |

Ya... so after they've outfitted girls (and guys) to receive all the "wrong" attn you could want, they are setting them up to get pregnant or contract an STI all while thinking they are putting a hip spin on being "safe". Wow..! Is Bootlegger coming out with a baby line and continuing their kids line then? Hehe... |

I could care less about the slogans on Bootlegger clothing.
My beef with Bootlegger is much deeper than stupid slogans! - Complete and utter lack of customer service - Poor quality clothing - The stores need renovations in a HUGE way - Ripoff merchandise (hey, designers, maybe try DESIGNING!) Aggggh. I can't stand this store. Sorry, thechix0r, it may be a great place to work (defend it all you like) but from a customer's point of view, thumbs down! |

There's "ripping off" as in taking a concept and developing on it, and then there's blatantly "ripping off" like coming into another store with a camera and a sketch pad |

^^ haha totally agree...
AT off the wall we also get shirts, and what not that say lame comments, but all those shirts get discounted to the clearance rack... therefor hopefully bootlegger gets the point, I'm sure the jean wont sell well.. And this will teach the company not to sell crappy jeans that say "lame comments" on them. Yet i dont think Off the Wall gets that point either with the shirts... those kinda shirts always seem to come back each season. |

OTW doesn't get it either.
The HO people are always coming into my store with their note pads ready...I think they've FINALLY got the hint not to come in to steal ideas because I promptly chase them away. Kinda convenient that I know most of them still so I can make a joke of "oooh in here to rip us off again, eh?!" and then they'd be all sheepish to actually try :P |
