My cell phone has died :(
I can't make it turn on and I know for a fact that it still had 2/3rds of it's power left. When I plug it in, I get nothing - not charge responsive. When I try to turn it on a get a frozen blue screen. This may be the end of my pretty cell phone.
On the bright side, I am eligable for a phone upgrade and contract renewal. Or since my contract is complete, I can switch cellular providers if I want to. OR I can put my phone in to have it repaired if I really want, as I have another year of warantee on it... but I've already had it in twice in the two years that I've had it, and it usually takes over a month! And... I'd kind of like a new phone anyways. Man this sucks... Why does this hafta happen after closing hours on a Tuesday! I guess it could be worse. It could be the wknd and I could be in the middle of trying to meet up with friends. %$#@! |

Ive dropped it many times, but not recently. I've had to take it in twice in the two years I've had it. The first time the screen froze when I tried to send a txt (software problem). The other time, the speaker broke inside. I'm not sure what happened this time. It's like it knew I was looking at other cell phones and fainted.
*edit: the phone is just over 2 years old... what's the life expectncy of a moto? or any cell phone in general I wonder? |

thats odd, ive owned several moto's and haven't had a SINGLE problem with them, and if you know anything about me, my celly does NOT get treated nicely.
they are usually really decent phones when it comes to being able to last, thats why im curious about this. well if you dont send it in or anything i can take a look at it. |

^ Thanks :) Ya my mum, dad and best friend all have the same model. My friend has had hers even longer than me... And hers is fine. No one else has any problems. Maybe I'm just unlucky. Or maybe I didn't take good enough care of it (ie: dropped it too many times).

eighty5, you do that by going into your phonebook and editing and there should be an option where you can store the # either to phone or sim. Alteast thats how it works on mine. **HURRAH! My Dad has somehow managed to get it charging... Which perhaps means there is still life in it. Im not sure. It also turned on, and accepted two different batteries. Hmm... We'll hafta see. but it didn't need to be charged... :/ |
