I have a sore throat... and it sucks.
I have no clue how/where I picked this up being I don't work, and generally don't see anyone other than my boyfriend who is like superman and NEVER gets sick. :( Ugh, way to wreck yet another long weekend body, way to go. Eating so many garlic pills and oregano oil... man I'm going to smell great! Last edited by LDUB; Oct 06, 05 at 02:36 PM. |

i've been sick for three fucking weeks now.
went to the doctor and i have something that has to be waited out. it fucking sucks, if i dont eat i get all shakey and feel like shit and get headaches. when i do eat my stomach hurts so much and then i feel sick. its a loose loose situation. the pain is manageable now, but i still feel sick. now ive picked up a cold. if you feel sick i hear the taking fresh ginger root and steeping it and adding honey will make you feel better - im trying it tonight. i always find that pepermint tea clears my sinuses, that or chewing gum. otravin is my hero. but nothing makes you feel better then lots of sleep, water and nutrition. |

My friend lives by oscillococcium: "This homeopathic remedy contains very small doses of specific, diluted, flu-related active substances, which stimulate your natural defense mechanisms. It comes in three vials of sweet tasting pellets you dissolve under your tongue every 6 hours. There are NO known side effects or drug interaction risks associated with this product and it is deemed safe for children over the age of two. This remedy has been used for over 40 years in Europe with impressive results and is manufactured in accordance with the Homeopathic Pharmacopia of the United States." She takes it right when she feels symtoms and they never manefest into a full flu/cold. I've never tried it because it's not vegetarian though. :( Zinc lozenges rock for sore throats. I'm feeling better already... I think i'll be good for the weekend! |

I'll warn you that it doesn't taste great, make sure you put it at the back of you mouth if using a dropper. Ensure you get it from a good place as any essential oil can be dangerous especially when ingested. It's also good for digestion. |
