Stolen Cell Phone

So it turns out that my cell phone fell out of my mom's car during a rest stop in Seattle during the drive down to Oregon two weeks ago.

I only noticed that it was missing yesterday when I tried to check my voicemail. Some guy answered it.

$500 in roaming and long distance charged in two weeks.
Rogers told me that i'm responsible for that.

I just got off the phone with Rogers and the bill is $700 something dollars.
I'm still responsible for it.
I don't get it. My plan is for unlimited anytime. I can prove that I haven't been in Fucking SEATTLE MAKING THOSE FUCKING CALLS.

I'm so mad/sad right now, that it's not even funny.

you totally should be able to dispute the charges if you have evidence that the phone is not in your possession, that you're not even in the same state!
did you report it to the cops? cos they'll probably check that, to make sure you're serious that it was stolen

so have you cancelled your service now?
