telus?
My phone refused to charge anymore, so I gave it back to telus to take a look at, and it really does suck not having it on me. Let's hope they at least do something about it. (errrr we're going to need to get a 60 dollar re-repair-activation fee) or (we can't do anything about your phone because we do not have the repair tools on site) fuck you just give me a new one dickheads, i got a year left on the contract.

TELUS doesn't make the phones... the reason you get them so cheap is because you signed a contract, phones aren't cheap. I doubt you'll get a new phone unless it's under warranty with the manufacturer.
Did they not give you a loaner phone? Quote:

well if they're willing to offer a phone on 2-3-5 year contracts, it should be able to last over a year of regular use. That is why I think I should get some coverage.
and yeah i know telus doesn't make the phones.. no they did give me a loaner phone in the meantime. I'm just tired of paying all these absurd charges to telus, when most of them don't even cost them any money, and is nothing more than a few seconds of work. |

If it's a battery most cell phone, regardless of cell provider outlive their battery life. TELUS (and any other provider) almost alway recommends that you get an extended warranty to cover you phone past the manufacters warranty until the end of your contract.
If you think telus is expensive then you shouldn't have signed a contract with them. TELUS mobility stores where you took your phone are generally privately owned. Very few have their own repair shops. It does cost them money to send out you phone. I think they should have offered a loaner... call customer service and speak with them. This 'few' seconds of work thing is absurd. Just because it takes one person a few seconds to do something you need to understand the other processes something goes to, whether being updated, billed, ANYTHING. All of these 'few' seconds add up. This goes for all large companies. Just as many people that say they hate TELUS, hate ROGERS or BELL or whatever. Telephone companies are generally all the same... people have the same experiences at each, yet each try and outdo the other. With only 1 year left it may be cheaper for you to buy out of your contract instead of getting a new phone on it and switch, if you don't care about your phone number. Quote:
