I don't know what's worse
Waiting 4.5 hours in the emergency waiting room Waiting 2 more hours in emergency Getting blood tests, pee tests, heart tests, diabetes tests Waiting 2 more hours in emergency OR Being sent home and told they don't know what's wrong I'm sorry, but doctors, SOMETHING IS WRONG WHEN I AM DIZZY AND FEEL LIKE FAINTING. Now find out what it is dammit! |

stress? tired? i assume your job can be a little bit stressful some days, and as everyone knows but usually forgets when it happens to them, stress can build up unknowingly and hit us in the most strangest ways.
see a nuturapath. ive been sick for three months, its my next step. hearing "hmm well your tests are saying your normal" just doesnt fucking cut it as you understand. |

Thursday waiting for 2 hours to see my doctor, then 40 mins of blood tests.
I spent Friday at the hospital waiting for 5 hours. Saturday morning getting a 4-6 inch needle jabbed into the back of my throat. Saturday afternoon 2 trips to the hospital for an IV of antibiotics. Sunday 2 trips to the hospital same thing. Monday at the doctors office. Tuesday resting all day. Wednesday back to work, thank god! |

It's people like you that make others have to wait in the Emergency room for hours and hours when all you should have done was gone to your family doctor, not the ER.
If it's NOT life threatning, then go to the clinic or see your family doctor. |

my dad is a cancer patient - i get sick with something that needs antibiotics, i have to get them right away and cant always wait for monday or the day when i can get in to see my doctor. i've done the oppsite before though. i had a cut on my foot that turned green, knew that the emergency room would take forever, so i called ahead to my doctors office and walked in and she treated me right away first ruling out the need for iv treatment. plus her symptoms seemed to be kinda serious. fainting is not something to be put off till your regular gp appointment. |

Again, emergency looks for immediately life threatening things... |

Obviously I went to my family doctor FIRST (on friday, actually). He doesn't have a lab at his office nor a heart machine (wtf are those called?) nor any of the other things that were needed to rule out heart/lung/blood/brain problems. He was actually doing his rounds on Monday morning and saw me in the waiting room. And for the record, the ER doctor THANKED me for coming to emergency because she said that people who become dizzy and faint often have a serious heart condition or brain condition that has gone undetected. So, how about from now on you get ALL the facts before you run your mouth off, ok? |
