"We are aware of the situation and we are currently working dilligently to resolve it. please wait up to 24-48 hours for a resolution."
The key word is "dilligently". When you hear that, you're listening to scripting.
PS: No outages at all this weekend. You got a firewall? Check the settings... Other thing to try would be to remove Messenger from add/remove and then redownload it from messenger.msn.com.... the quick and non-activex way to do it is to click on the "Download Now" button, then scroll to the bottom and click on the link "Download and Install Later", then just save to desktop and run from there.
