eff xmas
Seriously, what is wrong with people these days? This is supposed to be a time of family, a time of togetherness, a time to count your blessings.
I've noticed that in the last few days people are just uuuunbefuckinglievably rude, irate and just on some other fucking planet. Any concept of manners, common courtesy or general human decency has gone completely out the fucking window. Seriously people, go outside, go spend time with your families because taking out whatever is bothering you on a complete stranger ain't worth it. when people ask me why I generally dislike xmas, I'd say this is why...people are fucking CRAZY. |

as long as i stay clear of malls i find that most people are cheerful around this time of year. the year is ending, school is finished for a few weeks, people are going to see therr families. the only time people seem stressed out to me is when they're shopping.
i like xmas :) |

People are totally nuts around Chritmas time!, i work at superstore haha oh yeah!, but besides that people are so insane and rude, you try to help them out the best you can and they still ignorant! To make it even worse is when you get the people coming in 4 days before christmas and expecting to get what they are looking for, they should come earlier if they want something that bad. Bah ahhaah ahh rant..lol

It's like this every Advent. Fucking ridiculous amounts of stress, drama and bullshit all over the place for four weeks before Solstice. Then everybody feels that the worst of it is over (shortest day of the year), and then ensues a week and a half of partying just to get it all out of your system.
Solstice is today. You should really start to see moods chippering up in the next couple of days. I know mine is already! |

i just came downstairs to finish up some christmas things, and before that i was having this conversation with my dad.
i asked him if i was just so oblivious when i was younger that people just all seemed happier, i just couldnt tell everyone was pushy and stuck up cause i was too enwrapped in my own little "its christmas" world. he said no, that eveyrone was happier when i was younger, that it was completely different then what it is now. because of how i was raised, christmas was never about the presents, its about my family. kids these days are so fucking unbelieavbly spoiled and demanding, it makes sense that the parents are stressed, pushy and bitchy. i've been getting more and more disgusted with what goes on by the general public during this time. and i love christmas for many reasons that are dear to me. |

^^ Keep in mind your Dad's bias too. Frankly, I remember people bitching out about the same stuff when I was a kid. Christ, remember the Charlie Brown christmas special? CB going off on rants about how Christmas is too commercial and nobody seems to have any clue as to what this christmas stuff is all about.
Ricky had it right, though. Getting stoned and drunk with your family. Fuck yeah. |

i hate working at christmas. everyone rolls their eyes at you and think it's your fault you have a large line up. well actually, it's their fault you left your shopping last minute so don't bitch at me! i love it when people bitch right in front of you thinking you can't hear. 'this line up is so slow' is one of my favorites...I pretty much make them feel stupid reminding them that it is christmas, and make some joke that they shouldn't leave stuff so last minute so i don't look rude saying it.

^ yeah that sounds about right..
working in retail sucks for this.. especially when it comes to the last minute shoppers.. if you dont have what their looking for, then apperently it becomes your fault.. i'v had a few customers yell at me for no reason at all, they just seem to lash out |

i think the holidays are what you make of it. if you allow unhappy people to bring you down then your going to have a crap time. if you leave them i the past, where they automatically reside, then you will be able to enjoy yourself in the mood you want to be in.
festivus for the rest of us bitches! |

bah fucking hum bug
North American culture is fucked, youre all so shallow and moronic to set aside certain days of the year that are supposed to be for family and helping those in need.DO IT 365 DAYS A YEAR,dont sit there and fucking whine about how rude or selfish people are being at this time of year, youre like this the other 364 days of the year so why should anything change?People need to start realizing that x-maz means fuck all,its a pagan holiday thats a retailers dream and all you dumbasses buy into it.So shame on all of you for being selfish and stupid.Dedicate your life to giving and being with family, dont set aside days to do so.
shmucks. |
