Classroom seat jacking.
Sure i know in college theres no defined seating plan, but after three weeks you've got to know the people around you and things are set.
I come in today 5 minutes late for class and some biatch is sitting in my seat. It's like she waited for me to be late and moved from the other side of the classroom just to jack my seat, wtf. After three weeks? The people around me were nice too and I even found out the russian guy behind me had a knack for electronic music and spinning. So today i was stuck discussing politics with the guy who is inspired by Stalin and Hitler and the pretentious private school girl who believes our tax dollars should be selective. She believes that she should be allowed to pay taxes for things that are important to her but not for social programs because she would goto a private health clinic. ahhh if i have to discuss politics with these douchebags the rest of the semester i'm gonna snap. /rant

Seriously what would have happened if i came into the class late, dropped my bag on the floor next to her and banged on my chest while making loud wookie noises. I'm sure the point would have gotten across. Maybe i just need to be more assertive?

Dude, why couldn't you of asked her to get out of your seat if you have been seating there for three weeks already. She probably just wanted to sit there cause she though you weren't showing up.
If that happened to me I'd ask her to move I'm sure she wouldn't mind.

its like an unspoken rule that some people just don't understand i remember one time a group of korean kids from the front of my philosophy class decided to get there extra early and sit in the back the whole class was in a slight disarray its like everyone is suddenly out of their comfort zone having to relocated

Its not kewl when people jack other peoples seats on purpose. I had that happen to me once and when I asked buddy to move, he ignored me, so I moved him with his chair. That was just messed up, I think he just wanted to sit next to the hottie, too bad for him.

i hated when this happened in art history. especailly since alot of the kids in the calss that were not studio kids thought for some reason we were encyclopedias of art and would ask us a billion questions. plus thye dont have the same disscussions - sure we talked about the history and subject matter, but we'd go into depth about color and technique, more so then they would. its always great to expand your mind and hear what other peoples ideas are but it can be a bit much.
this would happen to the studio kids in second semester where the classes were basically the same. we just started going to class early, setting our shit up then heading outside for a bit. we didnt sit in advantage spots either really.

But also think of it this way. If you were stuck in her seat for the last 3 weeks. Wouldn't you be waiting and hoping to nab another seat, even if just for a day, away from Stalin/Hitler lover and the private school girl?
But I still feel ya on the seat stealing. I had this agreement with a girl that was part time at my work. She only had one shift a week. And we have some free computers in our area for people that don't have a permenent spot. So I asked if I could take over the desk that she sometimes sat at, just because it had a fast running computer and new moniter. So she said that was cool, and I was fine with her there the odd day. Then she starts comming in full time. and every time she is in the office she is at my desk, using my pens and all my info sheets. and I have to reach over her to get all my note books. And even though i've brought up sharing the desk, every day she still sits there. So I finaly gave up and moved all my shit to a slow ass computer. With a big moniter that takes over half of my desk space. So I know it sucks when someone just kinda pushes you out, when you have gotten all settled in. haha ok anyway that's the end of my rant. :p
