alright, who over-promoted their mixes that were hosted on nwdnb sucking up bandwidth?

Bandwidth limit exceeded.

All the other times it's gone down because of that is due to too many mixes being downloaded.

note to those hosting mixes on ndub: IT'S A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT - carlos and trevor are doing you a huge favour providing free hosting so do the rest of us forumers a favour and don't go promotion happy and immediately post your set to each and every website you can think of on the net. Save it for friends and one or two sites max otherwise shit like this happens :-\

fuck, shit!

Is the exceedance of bandwith related to the service provider, and there for cancellation of service? Or is it related to needing a more powerful, server with more bells and whistles?

If its the later, i say we jump in there to help trev,los and link, and throw down some fundraiser for a new kick ass server!

unfortunately I can't tell you what's been getting lots of hits on nwdnb. What I can tell you is that it's a combination of dj mixes and streaming audio such as singles that are very popular even outside the site.

Another thing: If you the dj post a mix online please make a note to "right click, save target as" for the reason being some ppls media players will stream it directly from the site rather then save the file to your hard drive by simply clicking the link. Just a reminder that dowloading to your hard drive costs the site a lot less bandwith rather than having ppl stream mixes all the time.

Sorry no Ndub until Feb.

We have the new server. We were able to get a sick deal on it, on top of that we can get the server hosted at a very generous rate. However the new server just needs to be maintenance and formatted. More on that in a few weeks. =)

thx, I will keep you in mind.

and the singles hosted online are mainly psidreams and TwentyHz stuff which are being outsourced to a dozen or so websites. But we love those guys so it ain't no thang. Just hold tight while we get the new server up and running... Ndub will pretty much have unlimited space and bandwith big things, big things!

I will work door, sell tickets, whatever is needed.

I got a guy that owns a shit load of warehouses.

Or we can use my lounge, free of charge, I can even get my boss to pay for flyers, we can have a nwdnb meet, cover on donation, there is room to set up turntalbes. We can chill there, food and drinks. Maybe I can put partial sales towards you guys. If we can link the lounges site form nwdnb.

Thx for all the suggestions, I will definetely talk to Trevor about another fundraiser... Personaly I rather throw a nwdnb party, party rather then revolve it around a fundraiser We HAVE a server now and have the $$$ to get everything sorted...
