sisters getting taken away :(
my sisters got taken away today by social services...the situation was that my dad has custody of the children and my step mom has got a record because she abused them (but shes getting better WAY better) and so therefore they got to live with my dad....well my dad isnt the fatherly type...my mom took care of me so he had no responsibilities except to be there for me but he wasnt but that's another story for another day....so
anyways the girls were sleeping over at their friend's house, and then shania was gonna go to her mom's house (shes the youngest) and her mom asked her if brittany(the oldest out of the two) knew she was going there but she didnt and shania said she did tell brittany...so then brittany got scared and called the cops reporting my sister missing....well basically the parents are on thin ice as it is...and now i duno what's happening...because they couldnt get a hold of my dad they took them to social services...Now my step mom is upset and my dad, well i left a note for him...i duno how hes going to take it i hope hes not binging or i hope hes not gonna go hit rock bottom and do something stupid...*sigh* i just feel bad for my sisters because they are so little and they dont know anything about the world yet, and all they know is that they are getting taken away from their parents...they must be so scared right now...but the best thing for them is to go into social services because then i know that they are being taken of and have more than what they have now...

I totaly feel for you. When I was young I had some close and difficult calls dealing with social services. Social services is one service I wish our government would put alot for effort and care into. I think its way too neglected. Alot of ppl who have big hearts cant work there becuase of the rediculouse politics going around and you cant help out families as much as you would like.
Hang in there and I wish the best for your sisters and family.

Not to throw the scare into you or anything but being put into foster care by social services is hardly the best option for kids. They get bounced around from house to house and have no real connection to anywhere that they can truly call home.
I hope everything works out for the best. It's a sad position to be in.

thanks guys so much and wellbelove's i agree with u 100%..more thought and care should be put into social services..
Cdn_Brd: i know and i would totally take them in myself but the thing is that i cant because of school and my scheduel and there would be no one to look after them.... Miss Mars: *smile* ill smile for my sisters cuz i know they probilly arn't Jen-E-03: me too but again i dont know what the foster parents are like...i mean they got taken away before by social services and put into a foster home when they were younger so this isnt the first time, but i mean they were lucky i got to visit them one day and they were so happy they loved it there... but like it was said there is no place like home, even if u have a shitty life its always nice to come home to someone who loves you...
