1) go to canadian tire, buy some bondo (5-10$) and i'm sure you have some sandpaper around..
2) hammer out the dent from the inside.. sand everything down nicely, bondo any cracks or unsmoothness.. sand it smooth once it dries. then get spray paint that matches your car (you can usually find exact paint or very similar at crappy tire) bam. 20 minutes. only have to use bondo if there are cracks or chips in the metal. |

My condolences re the dent.
Yeah some idiot bent over my antenna a few days ago and wrecked it. It wouldn't power-retract so was exposed for them to be tempted. On my previous car someone keyed it. Fortunately these are not new or expensive cars but WTF are these morons thinking. Next time I'm just parking away from other cars so they at least they will be required to take the time to walk over to my car to damage it. I'm hoping they're too lazy to walk a bit to do the damage. ___________ I have a similar dent in my car across 2 doors - it's a scrape dent that previous owner did - I kept the dent (too much hassle to remove door panels and pound it out etc) so I just sprayed over it with matching paint from Canadian Tire - cost $8 compared to $500-$800 quotes from body shops. Most of the time people don't even notice the dent now just from the quicky repaint. |

Call dents unlimited in port moody (604) 469-9545
They can probably do it without having to paint, as long as it isnt cracked... On my old car they quoted me 90$ first dent and 25$ therafter, mind you they werent kick dents.... You can buy a suction cup thingy for pulling dents at canadian tire for around 20 bucks I think, that will make it look a hellllllova lot better, without having to shell out big time. |

unfortunately i'll need paint. at the top of the dent, there's a good 3" long crack in the paint.. and i touched it gently and a big flake came off so the metal underneath is already exposed. and we all know exposed metal and west coast weather aren't friends.
it's pretty big. length wise, it's bigger than my dads foot. :( i can take a picture later on when i can go outside and not get blown away. |

that sucks a lot. I dont understand why ppl would do something like that... just sooo frustrating... our car has been targeted many times - once when we were at my parents, someone smashed our tail-light, and then recently someone decided it would be fun to draw a huge heart on the hood of our car... with a key, it looks like.. and its not even a good heart, it looks like a 2 yr old drew it :( thanks guys! (gonna go and kill random stranger) lol

^ i know my insurance covers it. but with insurance comes a $300 deductible.
and that's $300 i could have really used on other stuff this month (i'm supposed to be moving march 1). :( if it was just a dent i wouldn't care so much.. but the fucking paint is all coming off now. and i reaaaaally don't want rust. jeff - perhaps i will :P |

yeah, here's mine. my car is super dirty (thanks to working in an industrial area) and i don't get it washed often.. at least it was good for something. you can totally see the shoe print. and if you look at the top of the dent, you can see where the paint is coming off (and already starting to rust).
i've decided i'm going to pay the $300 deductible.. and get this fixed, along with the dent in my hood (that can't be pulled out, i've already had it looked at) and the big key scratch along the passenger side door. |
