Get yourself some cortozone cream.

My brother uses it for his excema and rhia has been using it for her psoriasis.

It works wonders.

Exfoliate before you do your makeup with Aveeno Skin Brightening Scrub and moisturize with Cortate Cream 0.5%

That's my daily routine and I haven't had a flare up for months :)

I follow a very strict skin care regiment (exfolliating no more than 3 times a week, moisturizing in the morning and then again with a special night cream before bed), and only use my pot of cortozone cream when absolutely neccessary- it contains steroids which thin out your skin and can actually do way more harm then good if used too frequently.
Excema's something I've had for years but I tend to only get it when I'm stressed or when my emotions have be all over the map.
I think this weekend will be the time to dust off the pot of cream tho, gotta fix up and look sharp for Sunday!

good move - i am not a huge fan of cortizone, even though it does get the job done it really isn't good for you at all
aveeno is super good stuff, oatmeal is supposed to be really good for your skin (but you probably already knew that!)
my friend used to get really bad eczema, she tried cutting out sugars and alcohol for a while (among tons of other stuff), but i guess that's not really gonna be so helpful for such short notice - i'd say go with some aveeno for sure - good luck :)

about a year ago, I broke out with a severe case of psoriasis. It covered almost every inch of my body save for places you cannot get it (palms, armpits, and my "special spot" - mommy says it's wrong to say penis). I was covered in itchy, inflamed, flakey red spots. It comes around when I'm stressed and when I haven't seen the sun in awhile - which sucks in the winter because it's always raining - although it's nowhere near as bad as the first outbreak. Just spots around my elbows and a few on my legs. Perhaps you have the same skin condition. Your doctor can tell you in a single glance if it is. If it turns out to be, in my experience I have found that creams, oils, pills, needles, and dieting does nothing for it. The only solution I have found is tanning booths. The UV light dries it out miraculously fast. I went from a mutant at my worst point to normal in about three weeks, tanning every second day. Check it out, it can get pretty bad and it sure doesn't help the self-esteem to be covered with the stuff.

hm,

my sister used to have it bad on her hands. She started drinking tons of water and it went away.

It also went away when she went to a more humid climate. When she went to japan, her eczema would always go away.

It's either psoriasis or excema. I have some small patches on my legs and elbows. Somtimes they get worse (ichy, grow, and some never go away) Some of them just disapear out of the blue. I could never really pin point what triggered it and what helped (weather, stress ,diet etc) nothing seemd to conect every time a new patch started or ended.

I recently started doing more resurch on it and found out that a major cuase to psoriasis may be built up of toxins in combination with inharitence. Therefore ive been trying a clensing diet for almost 5 weeks now (cheeted a few small times) ive been taking shark cartalige pills and zinc which are other possible solutions. Also tanning because some ppl will go thorugh seriouse uv treatment to to help it. Personaly ive found that the cortazome cream is one of the few that work and are afordable. $14 compared to $47 Elcom cream wichseemd to thin the skin too muich. Excersise and masaging your legs and arms also help realease toxins through sweat and geting your circulation going.

However I beleive excema is cuased more due to hinaritence and climate than toxin build up. Try humidifying your room with a glass of water by yoru bed and not drying your face right after a shower or washing your face. Diet could also be part of it. Olive/seasame oil are great for skin and a tone of other fruits and vegies.

So far all my patches, but one have significantly improved. The shark cartalage aparently wont show improvent for 2-3 months. I also have some in my scelp. For that I use T-gel twice a week. I dont think it will ever go away, but it keeps it 99% gone if I keep using the shampoo.

Once I had a bit on my face. I reduced my exphoiliating and used a .05% cream with out oil. It was gone in a week.

I used aveeno for awhile too. Didnt help anything go away, but it did keep it in better control and stoped the flacking and itching.

Weird!
Mine gets WORSE with humid weather.
I hate using cortisone, too, but I've tried everything else with no luck! And I only use a 0.5% in the morning and not at all for the rest of the day. Seems to do the trick and my dr says that since it's a low-dosage cortisone it shouldn't have any negative effects, other than my skin being a little more sensitive to sunlight but that's OK by me cuz my face doesn't tan worth shit (and my foundation has SPF 15 in it anyhow!).

Rhia, I definitely have found that tanning helps, too!

^ Evyerone is differnet though. All I know is one of my bigger patches started in Australia when I was in the out back (dry heat) When I was in Thialand (humid heat) I started to see it go away with the cream.

This summer It almost got worse and I kept it in the sun ALOT. However we had a fairly dry summer.

Going back to the cleansing diet I learned that dairy isnt good at all. And I should be eating alot more fiber and drinking more water. Normaly im a dairy nut and probly have more than i need. Than I realized when in thialand I avoided dairy, drank tons of water, and eat alot of fruit and breaded foods.

Taning never soly worked for me, but trying about 5-7 diffrent solutions at once seems to be working.
