Does anyone ever get the feeling where you are awake but in reality you are sleeping?
You feel awake inside trying to get up but you can't, your body is so heavy and dead asleep, but your mind feels awake. Sometimes in my sleep I feel that I am awake and I know what is happening around me, its very realistic, but I can't get up, I can't move. I feel restrained and so scared, helpless. Sometimes I feel as if I am calling out to my boyfriend to wake me up, to shake me out of my dream, because I know I am sleeping but I just can't wake up. Then soon after I will finally awake. Its fucking hell. Its so freaky, pushing and pushing to get up and you can't! I was told this happens to people sometimes on meth, when they finally sleep. But I dont do meth, I dont do any drugs anymore and I never ever did meth. I dont know what is wrong with me :( |

dreams are kind of like life's ways of working out our problems while we sleep because our brains don't turn off, as scary as it was there probably is some meaning (you should talk to neoh, he's good with dream interpretation!) that actually might give some clarity into something you're having a tough time with.

i made a thread about this a few weeks ago.. used to get it 3 or 4 times a night.. like I'd die if I couldn't get up and breathing gets heavier like someone is standing on me.. makes me wonder what would happen if I didn't try to get up? |

It felt so wierd.. i would be dreaming but awake at the same time.. i would try and wake myself up, but i would be dead still.. its hard to explain.. but i know the feeling. Yah myra maybe i will ask him about some of my dreams. it would be interesting to know what they all ment..thanx .. well last night was a way better sleep.. i think its because i shifted my bed another way to.. so its more against the wall. For some reason, i sleep way better that way.. |

LastWerd - My ex used to get that all the time, it was kinda creepy. It was worse when he was using meth, but got somewhat better after he quit (he did have sleep paralysis before he ever tried drugs though). We read up on it a little, and it can happen without any drugs involved.

there is some info. totally makes sence. when ever i get this feeling, im my sleep i am trying to call out to my boyfriend to shake me out of it but I cant move or get a sound out of my body. In the article it talks about how people can get out of it by a sound or touch to the human body. I really feel like that |

sometimes dreams actually prepare yourself for real-life experiences. Like sex and shit like that. I guess thats why we get wet-dreams and whatever when we reach puberty.
Speaking of which, im a pimp in my dreams, for the past 2 nights. ya boy. |

thats so wierd because jus this morning i was trying to wake myself up, because everyone kept calling me and telling me it was like 12 or 1. so i thought it would be a good idea to get my ass outta bed by this time..
But as usual i fell back to sleep but then in my dream i actually got out of bed.. and stared walking around my place.. but my body was trying to get up in real life but couldnt i was stuck there. i douno it was a wierd feeling.. |
