Honey- WORST BAR IN VANCOUVER
hello everyone,

I know I don't usually post, but I am FURIOUS!! So friday night I am with some friends at Honey, it was so packed in there I ended up losing everyone and got a text message saying they had left so I go to get my jacket, but I had lost my coat check ticket. Well normally if you identify something in the pockets or say the brand of your jacket the nice coat check people will help you out. I know that it was my own fault for losing the ticket, but that doesn't mean that the staff member has to be verbally abusive! The coat check nazi was sooo rude! He refused to help me, I tried asking other staff to talk to him, but still he thought he was god and told the others that he refused to give me my jacket, I can come back at 4 and get it. Ok so I understand the policy, they don't want theft, thats fine. The part that INFURIATES ME is when I told the guy I couldn't wait that long becuase my friends had all left and asked why he wouldn't just help me he told me that it was becuase he didn't like me and that I am a "fucking bitch"!!!! Ok sorry coat check nazi but with out customers like my friends and I you wouldn't have a job! I couldn't believe it! I actually started crying! I can't believe anyone working in the customer service industry would talk like that to a customer! I have also called to talk to management several times and have had no luck getting through. So unless you like being treated terribly by staff DON'T GO TO HONEY!!! I am trying to start a boycott! and I still haven't gotten my stupid jacket back either!

that sucks, mer. this is a perfect example of what clubs get like when they're way too busy. the people that work there start to forget that they're in the hospitality industry and need to treat their customers right, just because they have a line up outside the door. hope you get your coat back.

if that jacket was so stupid why would you make such a big deal out of it? but, seriously, next time just hold onto your ticket. if you have a problem with losing items from your pocket, put it in your shoe.

the jacket wasn't stupid, I was saying that out of frustration. Its actually a really nice jacket my mom bought me for christmas! I know I should have held onto my ticket, but I still shouldn't have been treated that badly for a common mistake!

i'm not a coat check guy, but i don't think that losing your coat check ticket is all that common.

i've never lost a coat check ticket and i'm pretty sure that this is the first time that i've ever heard of this situation.

bein' a dick? i'm just sayin' yo....

anyways, you don't want to burn the place down. the best thing to do is break all their windows, and then when they replace them you break them again. over time they won't be able to afford any new ones and they'll close. if you burn the place down they'll get the insurance money for it.

coming from a person who has worked coatcheck many times at many a busy club or rave, you should be willing to at least offer to look based on the designer/size/colour etc etc only the owner would be able to identify. I could see if it was busy it would be reasonable to ask that the person come back when its slower or at the end of the night. What happened to you mer is totally unacceptable and I would NEVER ever do that to a customer.

What bothers me is the customers who won't pass you a tip once you've spent the time looking for their coat! haha
