Fundie's "Truth about Pornography"

Let me start off by covering my bases, I was raised as an Anglican, going to church wasn’t my cup of tea, I learned some basic things early on in school, and made the decision to be an agnostic. It is not my goal to disrespect any religions or anyone beliefs, unless you’re an ignorant extremist like the people that made this comic.

The following comic is a series of 8, among which topics talk about: abortion, evolution, homosexuality, rock music, safe sex, school violence and “drugs drunkenness and peer pressure” (that’s one comic that covers three issues at the same time) and last but not least, pornography. I will write about the latter in this thread.

Alright, here it is guys, the truth about pornography! You thought you had it figured out, but apparently you don’t. If youre a fundie or have strong Christian religious beliefs, you might be offended, so you might want to stop reading at this point, the following is simply an opinion piece.

Here we start off with a white kid with earrings interrupting a healthy session of “soccer site surfing” to look at pictures of naked girls. WHOA MARTY WTF.

The above strip shows exactly why I find this whole serious of comics to be the most retarded and extremist pieces of shit I’ve ever come across on any medium, not only do they initially demonize the father as being an irresponsible pervert earlier, but they end up making him suffer the consequences of his actions before Marty even goes home. Did his date live next door? I have so many questions, I do have to admit that I dig the 70’s hair.

I’d like to know how many people agree with this method of spreading the teachings of the bible to young people, I for one would be more likely to pay attention to an articulate and well spoken person sharing his/her views and morals of their religion, I cant promise I’ll be swayed to their belief system, but I’d respect them enough for not trying to make a fool out of me by feeding me this kind of garbage. Maybe next time Tim Todd.

I'm quite curious to see how my 2 little cousins grow up because their parents are heavily religious, and only allow them to watch/read/listen to anything if it's religious.

Yes my sunday mornings were boring, and no ive never been to a youth group. From my experience, anglicans are pretty laid back when compared to catholics, we didnt do the confessing of sins in that little booth, im not too well educated on all the differences, but im pretty sure they didnt label homosexuality as a "sin" that can be "cured" by praying.

christians are some of the most fucking perverse people on the planet...and this is coming from one.I completely disagree with Christians approach to sexuality,they fear it and think it should only be used for procreational purposes.By someone denying thier sexuality starting at a very young age is psychologically unhealthy and will lead to that person becoming sexually deviant at a later stage in life,be it through promiscuity,rape,child molestation or what have you.
