People that act like their rich/Wannabe gangsters

I hate this.

Everyone knows that you didn't buy that Porsche SUV, it's daddy's, we all know this. Your 17 years old for fuck sakes. There is SO much of this these days. Young kids in expensive cars. I wonder if your dad knows you rip 90k down Robson.

Everyone knows your not a gangster. Your white. From the suburbs.

It's the same in clubs. Oh shit guy, you baller, you just bought $100 in drinks! Fuck, there goes a day and a halfs wages at the door making company you work for. You're not fooling anyone.

This is not jealousy either, I'm happy with what I have because I've earned it. I didn't have mommy and daddy buying me cars, apartments, and shit like that.

So a while back I saw this total gangster white guy, hat on sideways, bandana underneath, armani gear, bling watch, etc, with one pant leg rolled up. I stopped him in the middle of robson street and asked him if he knew what it meant to have one pant leg rolled up. His anwser? (And I'm not kidding here..) - What the fuck *****, who the fuck are you.. *****? Your WHITE!

If you dropped 98% of these guys in the middle of chicago, NY, baltimore, new orleans, boston, houston (name your american city) they wouldn't last 3 minutes.

rap trend needs to die...

not to be racist but are the "urban" people trying to prove they were raised in ghetto and now all bling-bling?

You know what though? Black people born in raised in New Orleans/Baton Rouge.. they're in a different world, they're allowed to act gangster as they were raised in poverty and the 'game' is their life. If they get rich, and flaunt it, Fair enough. They're from the real 'hood' with absolutely nothing except drugs or hiphop. ( I work with these peeps all day, these cities are a different world than what we think is everyday living)

It's those kids from West Van who front like their from the hood, where in real life their lawyer father brought them up in a $700,000 house with 3 cars in the garage. That's what I don't like.

You know what? If I were rich (or grew up in a rich family) I wouldn't flaunt it. Sure, I'd drive a nice car, go to nice places, but I wouldn't act like I got coin. I'd be exactly the same as I am now.

Does anyone else admire the irony of rappers who wear crusifixes encrusted with African blood diamonds? That's some hardcore fucking ignorance right there.

everyone says that shit, but it's all talk man. you would be very different if you always had a gigantic pile of money to cushion you where ever you may fall. as would i.

i wonder how much of it is just straight up rebellion?
ie: 16yr old kid, silver spoon. embraces the 'street' because that's the exact opposite of most corporate dads with degress, 6 figure jobs, 7 figure houses. not to say some of these kids are even smart enough to figure it out, i'd assume it's mostly sub-concious.

No irony I think..

Listen, all these 'real' hiphop guys grew up in ghettos, straight up. No choices, you either slang rocks, or get a career in hiphop. Nothing else. So, the ones that make it want to show everyone they've made it. A bunch of major hiphop artists support and fund african charities. The fact that they flaunt African blood diamonds is to show their roots. Show everyone you can make something from absolutely nothing. I don't think it's ignorance.

It's those 17 year old white kids who flaunt their bling that bugs me. It's probably because I work with the real thing all day and I think these 'suburban gangsters' are a bunch of pussies.

It's ironic for two reasons.
a) Having a silver, blinged out cross totally misses the point of Jesus' story. Jesus would shit on your head if he saw that shit.
b) Buying African blood diamonds enforces the slavery for the production of more diamonds. That mean, the more you buy, the longer they keep their brothers enslaved. They are, in fact, enslaving their roots.

Nope, sorry guy. I know if I had a gigantic pile of coin, i'd be exactly the same. I know this. I'd have some nice physical things or whatever, but that wouldn't change me as a person. For instance, I wouldn't disown my friends, or my parents becuase I think i'm too big for them, etc.

Okay fair enough, the cross thing. The fact that a large majority of these hiphop artists fund african charities makes the whole blood diamond thing a bit different, you're still right though. It's all about how much bling you have, isn't it. Unfortunately.

Hahah. Just another thing to flaunt like your rich. But got a $8000 loan paying $200 a month for 5 years so your wheels make a spinning motion.

dude, how can you actually say this with what i assume is a straight face?

you're saying that had you grown up in a rich family and rocked the silver spoon. you'd be exactly the same, but with the money.

fuck you're as dillusional as those white kids who think the're black.

even IF you acted the same, it wouldn't be the same because other people will perceive and treat you differently.

when he walks in, he cashes around 15 G's straight off the back. he sits down and loses it in less than 30 minutes. one night he lost over 50 G's, and just laughed it off. (but he usually wins a coupld G's every other time).

he never told me how he makes his $. but oh my god is he blingin'!!
this other day i saw him pulled over in cuffs right off hastings and richards. :P

what? yes, maybe some slang rocks, or try to work their way into the rap game, but can you honestly say that under-privledged African-Americans have no choices?

Even though they are born into that lifestyle does not mean they must settle for it.

This reminds me

When I was in highschool me and a friend were drunk on the street and saw this typical wigger with his 2 wigger friends

They were talking very loudly about how they are gonna stomp this guy and stomp that guy

to make a long story short my friend made the "leader" hold his pocket for 3 blocks

Man how I laughed

One of my favourite MCs is Gift Of Gab from Blackalicious. He dresses like a normal human being.

face it, the people who have that kind of money in the lower mainland and spend it like that at a casino, don't get it by being a straight shooter. If you worked for that money it would be put into better things. People who make money dishonestly usually have no concept of money... or a budget it seems.

That's not being pimp.

That's just showing the world, and being captured on video, as just how stupid you really are.
