i needed 2 weeks notice for cancelation

that's when you pack your bags and find another doctor. Simple as that.
i work in a dental office and we used to have $25 "fine" for not showing or not calling ahead of time and people just didnt bother coming back. that's why we dont do that anymore. If they dont show, we dont mind the free time (and there is always something else to do). So the way i see it, better lose an hour of work rather than have that person not come back to your office. And $600/missed appointemt???? that's just ridiculous.

fines are that high when you miss an icbc or lawyer appointed specialist without giving them notice. they are hot shit and their time costs that much.

its not really a fine, if you missed an appointment with a lawyer/accountant whatever, theyd charge for the time too
