underhanded EBAYing

I'm pretty sure that this is a sneaky underhanded business practice and goes against the EBAY rules.

I'm bidding on an item, all the other bidders are "hidden".

I'm being outbid and outbid and outbid. Finally I reach the point where I no longer want the item for the price.

Bidding ends.

Immediately after, I get an email "last chance offer", Basically, the 'bidder' pulled out and I can have the item I wanted at my last highest bid.

WTF? Ebay is supposed to be where you can get an item at highest bid, not at the highest possible price I will pay.

There WAS a reserve price. I was well above it. Sellers should use the reserve if they want a certain price.

Im really pissed right now.. GRRRRRR

If you think someone was just "bidding up" the auction, report it to eBay...They can take a look at things and if there's foul-play afoot eBay can suspend someone's account.
