ouch, that does hurt.

It's this weird game when you enter that territory sometimes, it's like you want to be direct with your intentions and figure out if you're wasting your time early on, but then sometimes doing so makes you come off too strong and can easily scare people away.

I feel your pain buddy. . . I not only got put in the "friend zone". . I just got an "if only we'd met a few weeks earlier" and a "you remind me so much of my boyfriend" all in the same day, which actually hurts more because I think her boyfriend is a jackass.

This happened to a guy at work. Some people from the office went out to the bar one night, and one of the girls was flirting and coming on strong to one of the guys. But it turns out she has a boyfriend. So the next day the guy comes up to her at work, and kind of brushes his hand on her hip, (which is still not appropriate in the office, but it sounded as if it was intended to be harmless) but she decides to file a sexual harassment suit on him, and gets him fired that day.
Talk about mixed messages.

Well i've seen other situations where people would smack someone on the butt and not get in trouble because they were friends. They would sometimes get a warning about what was appropriate at work. But this girl made a big deal out of it, so they took it more seriously.
