my first dog was caught by homeless dog hunters in China, he was beaten to death and dumped near by a garbage can around my house.

my bro & his friends went to give a good beating of these fucking dog hunters

That happened to me in grade 10. I wrote this at the time:
Quote:
January 31, 1997. a Friday
My favourite cat in the world died today. He's been sick for days: moping around, no energy. I woke up this morning at 7:25. I was dressed and ready for school by 7:30. I heard a tired meow and walked out to see Rufus (my cat) standing on the landing of the stairs, hacking up and trying to puke a foam of some sort. After he stopped, I went over and picked him up; I stroked him for a while. He weakly pushed me away and stood on the stairs for a while. I went upstairs and ate breakfast. Before I went to school, Rufus was still on the stairs so I picked him up and made a nice spot on my bed for him. I brought down some cat food in a cup and pat him on the head before I left. When I came back home for long break, he was in the bathroom on the floor. The same when I came home for lunch. I set him back on my bed before I left. I checked on him once after school, he was still on my bed. At 5:58 pm, I decided it's no fun to be alone and sick so I brought Rufus upstairs to watch Mr. Bean with me on the couch. His body was limp as I carried him up the stairs. He just looked at me and meowed softly. I set him on my chest and watched someone steal Bean's camera. Usually when I bring Rufus to cuddle with me he moves to the end of the couch, away from me and on my feet. But this time he just let out a faint meow. Eventually there was a commercial. I checked on Rufus and his eyes were wide open and cold. Usually when I touch right above his eye, he blinks and keeps his eye closed for a while. This time, no. I lightly pushed his eye closed and it popped back open. I held my breath and looked at his stomach for a while, no movement. I picked him up and his head fell straight back, completely limp. I didn't want to admit it before but I knew now he was dead. His eyes locked in mine, I put his little arms around my neck and hugged him crying for I don't know how long. He never let me hug him before. I took him outside to my dad. He took the corpse to the vet office. Today, I lost the creature I cared for more than any other.
I still cry every time I read this.

My dog had that happen once. Stake bones splinter and can cut there tummies. she came out ok.

I got my dog when i was 1 and she lived to be 20 years old! but she got so old and blind and fat we had to put her down because she couldn't walk.

And then a few months later out other dog's spine sliped out of place, and we had to put him down. That was hard because he was still young.

So I just have my puppy now, who's never had a brush with death.

I had to kill my own rat a few weeks back. That sucked big time. :(
