People who only talk about themselves....
I would like to think of myself as a very good listener. and even the best of listners need time to vent....
well while doing so today one of my friends could not stop talking about themselves.....I would say something and want some feedback on the situation and somehow it got turned to them and what their deal is. now usually I wouldnt care but i have noticed lately that some of my friends are very self involved.....as i do find it annoying for the most part i also find it amusing how one cannot take time out of ones day to listen to a good friends problem and HELP. instead they decide the need to go on and on about themselves and what not. grrrr its right up there with bending over backwards for a friend then being under appreciated which too has been happening alot........ //continues to put up with it because she is that type of person LOL......ahh i feel so much better :) |

good rant. I know what you mean. I recently had a fight with my buddy, he got all pissed cuz i apparently "sold him out". Anyways, he writes me a bitchy email calling me names and shit, and using things that i told him in confidence, and situations that he knows were really bad times for me, that i confided in him, as fuckin AMMO to try and piss me off/hurt me. One of those things is that I apparently am self involved, and selfish....You think so? I dont really see myself as that...

my old best friend used to do that.
It was annoying at times. But I also took into consideration that I was probably the only person he could really rely on to listen to his shit. So as annoying as it could be at times, it also felt nice that I was able to be of some help to someone who really needed someoene to listen to them. I think its important to be there for your friends when they need you. I know I've had times where i just need to vent and I had a friend to listen to it, and altho i appreciate it, i sometimes took it for granted. |
