I've been a fan of Akon long before he even released his first album 'Trouble' in 2004 but with his current hits 'I wanna Fuck you' and his upbeat 'Smack That' track featuring Eminem, lately he seems to be killing it.

the only thing I don't like is his fakeness.. he ain't no hustler and I bet he doesn't even know how to use a gun.. hes an RnB singer, yet he sseems to sing about being a convict and shooting guns all the time. he hops on a lot of really nice beats though, so its all good.

i don't like him. i don't like most rappers these days. they don't bother making the words rhyme, they sing the chorus over and over again (you think those nitwits in lala land are paying any attention? repititon works!), and i hate how they're always bragging about how much money and "bling" they have. but that's just my opinion.

Akon hasn't done anything measureable for the music industry. You could easily take any hits that have made the charts, remove them, and no one would even notice that much. Smack That is trash, another Eminem producing flop.

lol. Yeah he didn't really do that great on pacs album that he produced. Loyal to the Game I think it was? Eminem cannot produced, and I don't know what trip indicated to him he could but he's really delusional. He needs to stop as much 50 Cent and his G UNOT crew need to return to how they were before they got signed to Shady Records. Power of a Dollar and all the mixtapes are just gold and than In The Club came out and the rest has been just sad garbage. The ATL/Southern is taking over and rightly so, no one else has got any talent.

smack that is a bad song but i like the first minute. that chorus is catchy!
same with a lot of the rap that gets big on the radio these days.
