Logic - synths?
I'm just getting back into the producing thing since switching over to Mac, and im using logic express instead of cubase. I'm still pretty new with the thing, and was hoping for some good suggestions on synths to use. I'm doing most of the drums stuff on reason, but want some crazy synths to play with in logic (need me some crazy baselines!).
Also, anyone know of some decent video tutorials or anything? There's so much to grasp that any help is appreciated! |

ES1 is absolutely mint for bass lines.
If you're into VST's....Native Instruments Kontakt is deadly for Drums. other sampler that I would suggest would be "Sample Tank 2" I have a few Logic PDF tutorials, which are pretty decent. Hit me up. Cheers Tristan |

absynth is fucking nuts. i use it more for atmosphere, havent quite managed to get any sufficiently powerful bass sounds out of it yet though. filterscape is very versatile (especially when writing and assigning LFOs), and is quite easy to figure out. |

If you're a preset junkie then:
- Absynth, Albino 3, Rapture If you like to do things from scratch: - Albino 1,2,3, Z3ta, Novation V Station, Novation Bass station What kind of bass sounds are you trying to make? Twisty reese sounds like noisia? If so, Kontakt sampler (or that logic sampler) is also pretty essential. That bass sound involves a lot of resampling to make it sound proper. |
