agreed. this kid i used to make beats for in high school had mad skills, but the same fuckin dream as every other black kid in vancouver. he thought that every beat had to fit in some sort of catergory.

he was like "this beats dope, but i cant use it man"

exactly.....the gangster/bling/ghetto thing is SO fucking exhausted i can't even believe so many amateurs try do it still......there are other things to rap about.

most of the rappers i'm into these days are dudes who dont dress all "g-unit", and actually rap with complex rhyme schemes and intelligent vocabulary.... and rap over beats that actually sound different from all the lil jon/scott storch/timbaland duplicates..........it's a shame that talent and uniqueness don't make much money these days
