Midi keyboard+cubase = no worky?

Man I have no friggin clue why this thing isn't working. The keyboard is brand new basically, I've only used it a couple times.. I had it workin w/ cubase when I had my old soundcard, then I installed my new soundcard (m-audio, audiophile 6496) and tried the keyboard and I just can't get a signal.

Ive tried re-installing the keyboard drivers a couple times, still nothing. Me and my buddy were messin around with the device setup panel thing in cubase, it definitely recognizes the keyboard it says miditech midistudio2 in there. we've tried every combination on the device setup thing and the midi channel and all that.. just can't get a damn signal. the keyboard is plugged in USB. yes we tried restarting and turning the k.board off/on before entering cubase etc.

do you think the m-audio card isn't compatible with the miditech keyboard? I can't imagine it being that, would be pretty retarded but you never know.

If anyone has any ideas that would be greatly appreciated.

yes PC, Im thinkin Ill try pluggin it into the midi in.. but Im gunna need to pickup a cable for that. I have to get an xlr cable for my mic anyway might as well grab 1.

not sure if the maudio drivers will be different or do much, I did a fresh install of the card pretty recently.

inside - what do you mean by clean sweep? I wiped out the other soundcard shit if that's what you mean.

Usually when you install a new soundcard most some people perfer to reinstall the os so there is no conflicts, but it sounds like you got that sorted out.
