Eminem - The Eminem Show
K, Eminem's 3rd album is being released to the masses June 04, 2002. However, due to the popularity of mp3s, it is now avaible to those who can find it. Anyways, this is my review on this album.
20 tracks of pure Eminem. A lot of the tracks were produced by the D-R-E, so you know it'll be good either way. Em hasn't toned down his attitude since his last few albums. However there are 2 sentimental tracks, similiar to stan. Cleanin Out My Closet is aimed toward his mother. Em' goes off about how his mother truly was a bad mother. Hailies Song is dedicated to his daughter. Kinda heart warming, if you could consider his lyrics heartwarming on this track. But Em' does something that another MC has done. To all you Em' fans, ya'll probaly know Whitey Ford aka Everlast. Eminem sings on Superman as well as others. Rent a hook artist, Nate Dogg does a guest apperance on Till I Collapse. Awsome track. To me, the stand out track is Soldier. A very aggresive track fueled by anger. He mentions the late 2pac on this track and is influeced by him. Overall the formula hasn't been changed since the other 2. Few guest apperances, grimy beats and a lot of anger. Dre has decided to use less of the drums and more of piano. I like it. Anyways, I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. This album isn't for everyone. It's very explicit and the beats are hardcore. Too be honest, I dont think it should be on the radio because a lot of people will complain. However to all the Eminem fans you won't be disappointed. To the hip-hop fans, its a good hear and it'll entertain. Last edited by dj4mula; May 12, 02 at 01:14 AM. |
