Yes, indeed a sick tune, I'm really diggin' Brookes Bros first release on BBK "Mistakes" When I first heard their 1st release, "Blue Light" They did a collaboration with Danny Wheeler on his label W10 Records, I knew these guys had talent.... Their 2nd release on W10 Portal / Desert Island was quality tune. Now they're exclusive to BBK, and they deserve it. Adam F and Fresh prolly had $$$$ in thier eyes when they heard their quality tunes, LOL! haha, =P

ugh you guys don't get my point. obviously it used a loop and the guy didn't sit there for 4 minutes hittin out some drums. I'm just sayin it sounded like the dude actually made it original, not just some "dnb drum bpm 110" loop he found in a sample pack. there's a key difference to my ears between a loop you make and a loop you find.
you can agree or not, it's not really a big deal. |

well whether if its a pre-made loop that is not originated or whether if its a bunch of samples programed in sequence. It is a loop that I've heard before and many of heard before. Quite frankly it's a common beat. I think what may be standing out to him is based on the mastering that was done onto the track that makes it nice and clear and such.

I haven't even listened to the track... was just saying most electronic music (aside from dnb) uses programmed beats as opposed to premade loops, and while that is technically a loop most people mean pre-made or classic breaks sort of thing when they talk about using drum loops.

The drums are tight I agree! The snare and kick sound very single-hittish to me. I'm pretty sure the prominant drum is synthesized (808?).
I think i can hear a few quiet highpassed loops in the background though. Here's a similar break I made a while back if anyone wants it. It's made from single hits from an 808 + a few hat+ride loops: http://www.diversedev.com/sandbox/jt_like_pendulum.wav |
