Also glad to see Juana Molina high up and J Dilla make it. I figured Cat Power woulda ranked higher, though. Still don't see what all the fuss about Joanna Newsome is. An hour of harp covered in sqeeky vocals just doesn't sit well with me. Ah well... |

No, it's the "people who buy way more shoes than they need because they like to collect essential items while three-quarters of the globe lives below the poverty line" hater. You are why the terrorists want to kill us. But that's another thread.

all the shoes i buy i need. its not like i own 400 pairs of shoes. so because 3/4 of the glove lives below the poverty line i shouldn't spend my money on shoes? and btw terrorists don't want to kill us because i like to own a few pairs of shoes. |

Terrorists want to kill us because of our society's ideals. The shoes are just a metaphor man. We glorify capitalism and commercialization while ignoring the greater whole. Not only that, but we wave it in their faces and use our money for our global power trips. Again, the shoes are just a metaphor.

^^^ Plus, no man needs more than three pairs of shoes. You need one for job interviews, one for work/winter, and an optional one for play/summer.
Yet there are people with a hundred pairs of Nikes, more than they could ever possibly use in their lifetime. That's exactly the reason why the terrorists hate us. They can't even scrape together bread money and we collect $100 shoes to be left unused in boxes in the closet. Something is wrong here and they know it. After all, they built the factories where these shoes were made. Last edited by Mangle; Jan 14, 07 at 12:33 PM. |

^^^ Yeah, right. I'm so sure. I bet they spend hours standing around talking about my writing. They've got that kind of time.
